WHY THE CARIBBEAN?
The Caribbean is where most travelers fall in love with cruising and resort vacations. With over 7,000 islands spread across turquoise waters, there's a Caribbean experience for every kind of traveler — from party-ready beach bars in Nassau to untouched cays where you won't see another soul.
Year-round warm weather, short flights from most US cities, and an incredible variety of experiences make the Caribbean the #1 destination I book. Whether it's a cruise hopping between islands or a week at an all-inclusive resort, this is where vacation dreams come true.
TOP CARIBBEAN ISLANDS & SPOTS
BIMINI, BAHAMAS
Virgin Voyages' private Beach Club. Crystal water, infinity pool, DJ, and all-day party vibes. A must-do.
JAMAICA
Home to Sandals' best resorts. Dunn's River Falls, jerk chicken, reggae, and some of the warmest people on earth.
ST. LUCIA
The Pitons, volcanic beaches, luxury resorts. The most romantic island in the Caribbean — perfect for honeymoons.
TURKS & CAICOS
Grace Bay Beach is consistently rated the world's best beach. Home to Beaches and several luxury resorts.
ARUBA
The "One Happy Island" — dry, sunny, and gorgeous. Perfect for families and couples who want guaranteed sunshine.
COZUMEL, MEXICO
World-class snorkeling and diving on the Mesoamerican Reef. A top cruise port with incredible underwater experiences.
BEST WAYS TO EXPERIENCE THE CARIBBEAN
BY CRUISE
Visit 3-5 islands in one trip. Virgin Voyages, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Celebrity, and Disney all sail the Caribbean extensively. Cruises range from 3-night weekend getaways to 10+ night deep Caribbean voyages. My top pick: Virgin Voyages from Miami with a stop at Bimini Beach Club.
BY RESORT
Plant yourself on one island and unwind. Sandals in Jamaica or Turks & Caicos, Secrets in Cancún or Montego Bay, Hyatt Zilara in Cap Cana. All-inclusive means zero stress — just sun, sand, and unlimited everything.
WHO IT'S PERFECT FOR
Honestly? Everyone. The Caribbean has something for every traveler — couples seeking romance in St. Lucia, families building sandcastles in Turks & Caicos, girls' trip groups dancing at Bimini Beach Club, honeymooners in overwater bungalows, and adventure seekers diving in Cozumel. It's the most versatile destination on the planet.
BEST TIME TO GO
Peak season is December through April — dry, sunny, and perfect. Prices are highest during this window, especially around holidays. May through November is the "value season" with lower prices and fewer crowds, though there's a slight hurricane risk from August through October. I always recommend travel insurance for Caribbean trips during hurricane season.
