WHY ALASKA?
Alaska is unlike any other cruise destination. This isn't about beach bars and poolside cocktails — it's about standing on deck watching a glacier the size of a skyscraper crack and crash into the ocean. It's about spotting grizzly bears catching salmon, bald eagles soaring overhead, and humpback whales putting on a show right next to the ship.
An Alaska cruise is the most popular way to experience the Last Frontier, and for good reason — the Inside Passage is one of the most scenic waterways on earth. You'll sail through narrow fjords, past towering peaks, and into ports that feel like stepping back in time.

BEST CRUISE LINES FOR ALASKA

ROYAL CARIBBEAN
Great for families cruising Alaska. Their bigger ships have more onboard activities for sea days, plus excellent shore excursion programs. Ovation of the Seas is their Alaska star.

WHO IT'S PERFECT FOR
Alaska is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, adventure seekers, and anyone who wants to be genuinely awestruck. It's also an incredible multi-generational trip — grandparents and grandkids alike are mesmerized by glaciers and whales. If you want a cruise that's about the destination more than the ship, Alaska is your answer.
BEST TIME TO GO
Alaska cruise season runs May through September. June and July offer the longest days (nearly 20 hours of daylight!) and the best weather. August and September bring fall colors and the best chance to see bears catching salmon. May and late September have lower prices but cooler weather. I recommend booking Alaska cruises 9-12 months ahead — they sell out fast.
